Recommended banner size
- Upload size: 2560 × 1440 px
- Minimum: 2048 × 1152 px
- Safe area (text and logo): 1546 × 423 px, centred
- Maximum file size: 6 MB
Why the safe area matters
YouTube crops your banner differently on each device. The full 2560×1440 image shows on TVs, but only the central 1546×423 strip is guaranteed visible on phones. Keep every important element inside that strip.
Design for the strip first
Build your logo and tagline within the safe area, then extend the background to fill the full canvas. That way it works everywhere.
Keep it light
A clean banner with a clear value proposition beats a cluttered collage. Visitors decide whether to subscribe in seconds.
